Dear All,

I would like to clarify a few points on the situation regarding formals, as quite a lot of confusion has arisen, following correspondence from the Principal.

The JCR Exec is in complete support of the JCR’s decision to boycott all formals and has not given any support to the organisation of a Christmas formal.

At this point i will urge ALL members of the JCR to stand firm together and CONTINUE the boycott of formal dinners by not attending the upcoming Christmas Formal.

The decision to boycott formals was made by the JCR, as its members were unhappy with the current rules being imposed upon them and it does indeed still stand that the formal being organised by the staff will have these same rules enforced.

The JCR Exec will be organising a SEPERATE Christmas Ball some time soon and we encourage you to attend this event.  Watch your emails for more information regarding this.
