Elections are a very important time of the year in Cuth’s, those people who are elected will represent you to Society staff, the wider University as well as having a big part to play in the J.C.R. This makes it vital that you choose the best people for the job, if you think that person’s you then read through the tabs on the left to find out about how and when you need to do things, as always if you have any problems or questions get in contact with the President on  This email address is being protected from spambots. How to Run for a JCR Position

• Find out about the position and what it entails. Try contacting the incumbent or the President for more information.
• Find a member of the JCR to propose you, and another to second you.
• Design a poster and write a manifesto, keeping in mind the election rules (section 1.2).
• Submit your nomination, manifesto, manifesto summary and posters to the Senior Returning Officer by the dealine set.
• Attend the hustings (if required).
• Campaign according to the election rules.
• Go to the bar to hear the results being announced.
