Charles W. Holmes Memorial Library
Named after a former Senior Tutor, and based around his personal book collection which was donated to the Society upon his death, the Library provides a quiet, comfortable place for study and research. It consists of two quaint rooms at number 9 South Bailey, one of which is stocked with shelves, books and desks, whilst the other has several armchairs, a sofa, and a lot of sizeable, soft cushions.
Please use the drop-down menu above to access specific information regarding opening hours, book requests, applying for work, etc.
Library Mission Statement:

- To provide a quiet reading room, with armchairs, reading lamps, and sofa.
The Library has its catalogue available online so that all Cuth’s students can search for books from home. You can find books at http://library.dur.ac.uk where after searching you can select St. Cuthbert’s from a dropdown menu and search just the Society Library, or St. Cuthbert’s + ULCAT to search both Society and Main Libraries.
