Societies

One of the central purposes of the JCR is to cater for the tastes and interests of all our members through our Sports Teams, Clubs and Societies. We love our societies! There are lots of them, so use the navigation bar to the right to find out more details for each club or society, and find contact information so that you can get involved!

The societies that Cuths has currently are: Art Society, Big Band, Chess Club, Choir, Christian Union, Photography and the Society Theatre Company.

If we currently don’t have a club which caters for you then you can start one. All you need is 15 like-minded people to start a club, have it ratified and apply for a budget. JCR fees, Bar profits and other commercial operations of the JCR are used to fund the activities of our Sports & Societies. Budgets are submitted annually and democratically approved by the membership in a JCR Meeting.
